It’s going to be crowded up there!

Think about your safety and the safety of others!

  • Check with the volunteers at the takeoff areas (you’ll recognize them by their fluorescent green vests).
  • Make sure the area is clear before turning.
  • Follow the rules of right-of-way.
  • Maintain wider margins than usual: take into account your proximity to the cliff, other gliders, your skill level, and your fatigue level.
  • If emergency services are called in, respect and assist the teams as much as possible.
  • Observe the Temporary Restricted Zone (ZRT), which is in effect starting at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday for practice flights and during the demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. This zone, centered on St. Hilaire with a radius of over 3 km, is reserved for demonstrations. It is strictly prohibited to enter this zone.
  • Schedules are subject to change, for example if weather conditions require it. The primary objective of flight control is to ensure that the demonstrations proceed with the highest possible level of safety. Pay close attention to the information provided on-site by activity and field supervisors.

Fellow pilots, you are flying in the Chartreuse: a protected area renowned for its rich flora and fauna.

Please familiarize yourself with the rules for flying over the Chartreuse, the specific characteristics of our sites, and the recommendations for harmonious coexistence between humans and birds!

The Chartreuse Park enforces a pilot quota, so registration is required on Saturdays and Sundays to fly at the Dent de Crolles (Hike and Fly at the Dent de Crolles).

Thank you, and happy flying…
