At the south take-off in St Hilaire, and at the landing in Lumbin, the Coupe Icare welcomes you to 2 areas entirely dedicated to children. Come and discover the sky and take to the skies! Numerous workshops and activities await you, as well as films from the 4 corners of the world that will take you through the clouds, alongside majestic birds and multicoloured kites… A programme dedicated to creativity and lightness for kids curious to learn all about the flying world!

In St Hilaire: ICARE MÔMES on the south take-off area

Workshops in St Hilaire

– Building, decorating and flying kites with Imagin’Air.
– Building a mobile in the shape of a flying fish, with the Animalices.
– Building windsocks, with Les Colibris.
– Building and launching air rockets, with Planète Sciences and Tomastro.
– Observations, challenges and experiments on air, with Sciences et Malice (Friday).
– Nest-box-making workshop, run by the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux de l’Isère in partnership with the Département de l’Isère (Friday).

Events in St Hilaire

– Discovery of virtual reality around nature sports, led by the Conseil Départemental de l’Isère (Friday).- La roue de la Nature’ game, run by the Conseil Départemental de l’Isère (Friday).- Creation of bird nature cards, a game to discover birds of prey, with the Isère Departmental Council’s ENS (Friday).- Discover falconry with the Aigles du Léman. Friday 9.30am and 2.30pm (Déco Sud). Saturday 10.30 am (Déco Sud) and 3 pm (Déco Nord). Sunday 10.30 am (Déco Sud).
– Face painting (Saturday, Sunday).
– Slackline initiation from Friday to Sunday.
– Paper aeroplane competition run by children from St Hilaire primary school. Registration on site (Saturday from 4pm to 7pm – Sunday from 11am to 2pm – Prize-giving ceremony on Sunday at 2.15pm).

– Le jardin du vent: an exhibition of multiform kites, close to the Icare Expo exhibition.

In Lumbin: the Département de l’Isère and ICARE MÔMES, at the heart of the landing areas

• nest box making with the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (from age 6)
• making recycled parachutes with the Recyclerie Sportive de Grenoble (from age 8)

• The Nature Wheel’ game, run by the Isère Department’s Sports Department
• Wildlife/flora activities with the Service des Espaces Naturels of the Département de l’Isère.
• Sports workshops (registration on site):
  • initiation to climbing (from age 6)
  • initiation to biathlon (from age 8)
  • initiation to skateboarding with Alpine Skate Culture (from age 7) (except Saturday mornings)
  • initiation fencing with GUC Escrime (4-6 years/7-13 years/adults section: weapons adapted to the age of the participants)
