The Dauphiné WIPS
Founded in 2005 within the Dauphiné Flying Club, the volunteer aerobatic team Wips In Purple Sky (WIPS) presents dynamic 15-minute aerial demonstrations featuring Robin DR400s flying in tight formation. Led by Lionel VALENTIN, this team of private pilots aims to promote light aviation at regional air shows with rigor and precision.
Bücker Biplane
The Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann (“young man,” in reference to young students) is a German training aircraft used during World War II. It has a tube-and-cloth airframe. It has been re-engined with a 160cv Lycoming engine. It is nicknamed the “Stradivarius of the skies” for its exceptional flight qualities. Its pilot is Nathan Benoist.

Raven
Biplane Piloted by Fanny Viallard, a member of the French national team – 2024 Junior World Champion (and the only woman in the competition) – 5-time French Champion in the Unlimited category Fanny is from Grenoble. She began aerobatics at age 17. Now 27 years old, she is a Boeing 737 airline pilot and an aerobatics instructor. Her aircraft The Raven is a homebuilt aerobatic biplane—timeless and highly maneuverable. It can fly at speeds of up to 320 km/h and withstand 6G positive. This is her second demonstration at the Coupe Icare!
The French Air and Space Force Aerobatics Team – Extra 330 SC
Every year, they headline the Coupe Icare grand finale, bringing the afternoons of aerial demonstrations to a close. These world-class pilots perform a series of maneuvers over the Grésivaudan Valley, soaring up the cliffs of the Plateau des Petites Roches to surprise the audience at the takeoff sites. A moment not to be missed under any circumstances! This year they’re bringing two planes…
