For a successful Coupe Icare
Pilots, you want to fly during the event!
A radio tuned to the FFVL safety frequency 143.9875 is compulsory.
Information panels are placed at the take-off points.
Please respect the instructions given to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
There’ll be a lot of people in the air!
Think about your safety and the safety of others!
- Ask the volunteers on the take-off areas.
- Make sure the area is clear before turning.
- Respect the priority rules.
- Maintain wider margins than usual: take into account your proximity to the cliff, other wings, your technical level and your state of fatigue.
- In the event of a rescue operation, respect and facilitate the work of the teams as much as possible.
- Respect the ZRT (temporary regulation zone) which is active from 4pm on Thursday and Friday for rehearsal flights and during demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. This cylinder with a radius of over 3 km centred on St Hilaire is reserved for demonstrations. It is imperative not to enter.
- Schedules may be subject to change, for example if the weather conditions so require. The main aim of the flight directors is to ensure that the demonstrations run as safely as possible. Please pay close attention to the information given on site by the activity and ground managers.
