Regulations

On Saturdays and Sundays, all flights from Dent de Crolles are prohibited in order to comply with the pilot quota imposed by the Chartreuse Park and to respect the flight ban in the ZRT (only pilots registered for hike and fly may fly in the ZRT, as well as mini-gliders participating in the official demonstration).

As of 11 September, the quota has been reached and registration is closed. Thank you for your understanding in order to ensure the continued existence of the Walk and Fly activity at Dent de Crolles for future editions of the Coupe Icare.

WARNING: New regulations this year for paragliding and hang-gliding leisure flights on Saturday and Sunday mornings before 8.30am: pre-registration is compulsory!

For all flights (taking off from around St Hilaire), please observe the NOTAM.

There’ll be a lot of people in the air!

Think about your safety and the safety of others!

• Ask the volunteers on the take-off areas.
• Make sure the area is clear before turning.
• Respect the priority rules.
• Maintain wider margins than usual: take into account your proximity to the cliff, other wings, your technical level and your state of fatigue.
• In the event of a rescue operation, respect and facilitate the work of the teams as much as possible.
• Respect the ZRT (temporary regulation zone) which is active from 4pm on Thursday and Friday for rehearsal flights and during demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday. This cylinder with a radius of over 3 km centred on St Hilaire is reserved for demonstrations. It is imperative not to enter.
• Schedules may be subject to change, for example if the weather conditions so require. The main aim of the flight directors is to ensure that the demonstrations run as safely as possible. Please pay close attention to the information given on site by the activity and ground managers.

Online pre-registration closes on Sunday 15th SEPT. 2024 at 23:59 (Paris time).

Info +: We had to close some registrations earlier than expected due to a large number of participants (For exemple: Builder’s flight: over 60 registered).
