ICARE DU CINEMA, 2025 jury
International Aviation Film Festival

Freddy Montigny
Trained as a drummer, Freddy has made a name for himself among aerial spectators thanks to his flying drum kit, complete with gongs, which he performs atop mountain peaks, beneath paragliders, hot-air balloons and cliff-top highlines, notably in the films of the Flying Frenchies and Vladimir Cellier.
Wingsuit specialists are also familiar with his extreme and zany performances, particularly those with Julien Millot.
After years of accumulated experience flying paragliders, microlights, aeroplanes, hang gliders, gliders and wingsuits, Freddy the dreamer and explorer has also taken advantage of the enforced health-related breaks to return to the basics of base jumping, embracing simplicity, lightness, low-tech minimalism and offbeat poetry.
And to continue exploring the myths, legends and dreams of flight that have inspired humanity, encouraging us to question our realities. What if…?
Freddy has literally redefined the boundaries of the discipline with his dresses, bin bags and inside-out open jackets, culminating in his ‘Aladdin’s flying carpet’, which the world has seen on social media from the summit of the Croix des Têtes in Maurienne for a flight lasting over a minute. The action-packed sequel has not yet been released.
“How far can we think too far ahead?” he also says…
Julie Collard
A passionate journalist, Julie Collard specialises in children’s programmes and made a name for herself as the presenter of the show *Les Ludoblogueurs* on France 3. Curious, dynamic and a thrill-seeker, she then joined Riding Zone Junior as the main presenter. This programme, dedicated to extreme sports and board culture, allowed her to combine her personal passions with her journalistic expertise, highlighting young talent and inspiring initiatives.
For over 14 years, Julie has built a rich and eclectic career in the media world. She has worked on a wide variety of television formats: talk shows (On n’est pas couché), entertainment (Tous Ensemble, Chasseurs d’Appart’), personal stories (C’est ma vie, Je t’aime etc.) and even a regular segment (Télématin on France 2). At the same time, she has ventured into documentary filmmaking. One of these, Né pour Voler, dedicated to paraglider Eliot Nochez (one of France’s greatest paragliders, who has been passionate about the sport since childhood), received the Prix Coup de Cœur at the Icares du Cinéma in 2022.
Today, Julie continues to work as a freelance journalist and keeps developing projects that are close to her heart. In particular, she is one of the creators of Legend on YouTube, a programme that tells the stories of men and women with extraordinary lives. Through each of her projects, Julie highlights powerful, human and inspiring stories, with a sincere and sensitive approach and always the same desire: to tell powerful, human and inspiring stories, whatever the medium.

Jean-Baptiste Loiselet
An engineer by training, Jean-Baptiste – known as ‘Baptistou’ – has always preferred the great outdoors to the office. A keen traveller, he has had his fair share of adventures: sailing the North Atlantic on a schooner, visiting the Kerguelen Islands on a scientific mission, exploring the seas whilst piloting underwater robots, and even travelling to Antarctica aboard a 12-metre sailing boat (film: On a Marché sur la Banquise). Around ten years ago, he discovered gliding and saw it as a fantastic opportunity to fulfil his desire for ‘zero-impact’ travel – and to illustrate the answers to today’s big questions. The ‘Des Ailes pour la Planète’ project was born!
s and inspiring, whatever the medium.
Dino Raffault
Dino Raffault is what you might call a man of many talents: after a stint on the editorial team at Skieur magazine, he was involved in setting up the “ça envoie du gros” team, filmed the Trip Box events, organised numerous freeride competitions (Les Arcs, Courchevel, Tignes, Red Bull Linecatcher), before turning his focus entirely to filmmaking, with projects including Rancho, numerous films for Julbo (White Session, Sail Session...) and, above all, the gruelling task of operating the Cineflex camera from the Freeride World Tour helicopter. As manager of Supersize Films since 2005, he has produced numerous projects for Red Bull, notably with Valentin Delluc and Tom Pagés, but has been most closely involved in the remarkable history of the Soul Flyers team, from the early days of wingsuit flying in 2001 right up to the present day with the third iteration of the famous team led by Fred Fugen.
