The Coupe Icare likes to mix all the aerial disciplines in order to offer you one of the most beautiful aerial shows !
A show where kites, paragliders, hot-air balloons, boomerangs and paramotors and all unidentified flying objects are mixed together.
From kites to the best aerobatic pilots, all disciplines, men and flying machines meet in the sky to amaze us!
On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, there will be no aerial demonstrations, the sky is open to all pilots from all over the world to enjoy the festival.
Before taking off, consult the "Infos Pilotes" and the opening hours of the sites.

Paragliding
The flagship disciplines of the Coupe Icare are on display throughout the weekend...
Throughout the year, paragliders enliven the skies of Plateau des Petites Roches and Lumbin. A special place is therefore reserved for them in the Icare Show.
Paragliding aerobatics
A high quality demonstration performed by the best current pilots, from the South take-off or from a helicopter.
Saturday and Sunday from noon to 2 pm.
Mini Sails
On Saturday and Sunday during Icarnaval, between two disguised flights, you will be able to observe the agility of the pilots under their mini gliders.
Group flight
About forty pilots will take off almost at the same time to color the sky of Icarus!
Saturday from 11:15 am to 12 pm.
Paraglider manufacturer flights
Paraglider manufacturers present their latest models (EN standard).
Saturday from 2 to 3 pm - South deco.
Finesse contest
At the beginning it was a game between pilots... Today the big paragliding brands, with their best pilots, compete with leisure pilots!
Rendezvous with the Parateam.
Friday and Saturday from 3 to 5 pm on the school slope near the Icare Expo.
Walking and flying at the Dent
Between the valley and the summit of the Dent de Crolles, there is only a 1807m difference in altitude! A beautiful ascent on foot and a beautiful flight...
Saturday from 9am to 1pm. (postponed to Sunday in case of bad weather)
DELTA AND SWIFT
Revisit the history of hang-gliding through a hang-gliding fly-past and demonstrations of swifts, carbon wings with incredible flight performance !
Saturday and Sunday from 3pm to 4pm.
TURA'S BALLOONS
In 2002, the Coupe Icare discovered Etienne Chambolle's film "The Pirate Balloons of Rio". This film tells the story of a man, Tura, and a tradition, that of Brazilian paper balloons.
Tura, the Brazilianbaloeiro
Tura has been coming from Brazil every year for more than ten years to make us discover and transmit his art, an art he has been practicing with passion for more than 50 years.
After having made his own paper balloons for a long time, Tura was part of a baloeiros team for 29 years.
Today, he continues to transmit his passion and his art in Brazil but also in the whole world, on the occasion of aerial events: in the Azores (Portugal), in Saudi Arabia, in Mexico, in Lantilly, Marines and St-Hilaire (France).
His long experience has allowed him to innovate and perfect the balloon technique: introduction of banners, new techniques of decoration/disguise of the balloons...
PARAMOTOR AND ULM
The Paramotor track of the Petites Roches plateau welcomes flights reserved for professionals and authorized pilots (prior registration required).

Icarobatix
The " skyracers " gather the 20 best pilots in the world in a wild chase at ground level, around inflatable pylons.

ULM
The ultralight runway of Lumbin - reserved for pilots and manufacturers for test flights and presentations - is open Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm and from 6pm to 7pm (No flights outside these periods). Prior registration required.

KITE & BOOMERANG
Kites
Exhibition of Indonesian and Chinese banners, flights and demonstrations, with the best pilots of the discipline including the French kite flying team.
In Lumbin, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4pm.
Boomerang
On the "carpet" deco, they brilliantly take over between two demonstrations.
Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

- WINGSUIT take-off Dent de Crolles
A flying patrol of wingsuit pilots will offer images as breathtaking as they are fleeting! A group of 8 paralpinists will climb to the summit of the Dent de Crolles on foot. Their flight plan includes a pass by the North Deco before opening their parachute over the landing area at Lumbin. You'll need to keep your eyes peeled, as the pilots' speed will be close to 180 km/h. Take a good look at the sky at the very start of I Carnaval: together with the Eagles of Léman, these flying men will kick off the show.
