Aerial sports perform on the big screen! Travel log, portrait of an exceptional man or woman, adventure, preformance, animated film or scenario... Each has a story to tell and expresses a true passion for flying.

The Icares of Cinema received a lot of films but not all will be projected during the Festival!

In actuality, every film is viewed by a selection committee that determine which entries are the best for the Official Festival projections to the general public.

Out of 58 films registered in 2023, 24 were selected for the official selection.

In the heart of the Carpathian mountains, the "ALPINE FILM FESTIVAL" is Romania's premier mountain film and culture festival. Each year, it invites its audiences on a fascinating journey into a world of dreams, breathtaking landscapes, sporting performance, adrenalin and adventure. The program includes dozens of films in international and national selections, photo exhibitions, book fairs and conference-debates.
The Festival has succeeded in forming and nurturing a community of Romanian mountain sports enthusiasts, prestigious mountaineers, local mountain guides and mountain lovers from all over the country.

ALPIN FILM FESTIVAL receives the active support of institutional partners whose main mission is to activate and defend Romania's mountain heritage.
