THE BACK OFFICE OF THE ASSOCIATION
The Coupe Icare is organized by a not for profit association "COUPE ICARE.ORG " created in 1989.
Coupe Icare.Org is affiliated with the French Federation of Free Flight and approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Its headquarters are located in St Hilaire, at the Tourist Office.
The Coupe Icare.Org association is the project manager for the event. All major decisions and orientations concerning the event are made either at the annual general assembly, or at meetings of the Board of Directors or the Executive Committee.
The work is then carried out by the staff of the association (3 part-time employees) or entrusted to volunteers or partner associations.
1300 VOLUNTEERS AT OUR SIDE
All year round:
The executive committee is made up of 10 people, including two co-presidents, Didier POYET and Thibault LAJUGIE.
The steering committee is represented by 30 volunteers, each of whom is responsible for different activities relating to the event (Icare expo, icare cinéma, Icare mômes...).

During the event:
La Coupe Icare relies on the support of no fewer than 1300 volunteers throughout the event. 300 of these volunteers are members of the Coupe Icare.org association.
The rest of the volunteer work is carried out by 35 local associations (Gresivaudan valley). This represents 1,000 volunteers. In exchange for this commitment, the Icare.org Cup pays them a fee. In 2022, this remuneration amounted to 90,000 euros.
We also hire associations such as the Red Cross for first aid, Aremacs for waste management and Solid'Action for cleaning and tidying up.
This year we also worked in collaboration with the Action Ado association and young people from the Plateau des Petites Roches.
Team of flight directors
The Flight Management is a team made up of a Flight Director and a Deputy Flight Director, plus a team responsible for a particular air demonstrations and aeronautical fields. In all, more than forty people manage the organization of the demonstrations and the airfields. Congratulations to all for their commitment and efficiency.
IN THE OFFICE
The premises of the Coupe Icare ? A small office in a communal building in the heart of St Hilaire, next to the Tourist Office.
A very small but warm place; a hive of activity where all the administrative and organisational aspects of the event are managed, where the Cup is made!
