Watcha revisits more or less familiar tunes by groups like Nada Surf, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Supergrass, Noir Désir, as well as Asaf Avidan, Mademoiselle K, IZIA... This is the first year that Watcha, sticking loyally to the pop-rock style, has been inserting its own compositions in the programme,
Present on the scene in Grenoble since January 2013, JagSigh is a formidable trio of musicians who blend their influences and sensitivities to « whisper» pop/rock melodies in English to attentive ears.
A local group that distils a wild swing with accents of jazz or Balkan music, the Dandy Manchots (The Dandy Penguins) belts out spiced up, intoxicating mambo that really gets your hips swinging.
First, Lilian, a Parisian stage artist who delivers music reminiscent of Funk, Soul… whose compositions are close to the repertories of Stevie Wonder or Michael Jackson.
From gig to gig he surrounds himself with musicians from all over, giving a new twist to titles, mixing « old school » songs by the famous « Fender Rhodes » with more modern arrangements that take us closer to Jamiroquaï in a dance-floor deluge. The refrains hit hard and stay locked in your brain… the sound carries… Supersonic Band is born!
Musician of Polish origin, not to mention paraglider and paramotor pilot, Slawek Wojnarowski has definitely crossed the border!
A true six-strings virtuoso, accompanied by excellent musicians, Slawek shares his art with feeling and generosity, and all the while takes us into his own realm of favourites that vacillate between Texan blues, jazz, groove, world music…
Afro Guinguette is a heterogenous foursome that proposes cultural diversity and a mix of styles: guinguette, manouche, rock, jazz, musette, reggae… with lyrics in both French and Wolof. The music is so festive and catchy, it makes your heart pump and spirit soar.
No matter where it’s played Afro Guinguette will seduce the public and melt down fears of cultural differences that enrich the human race.
